The Tax Collector's Office in Rockaway Township is a division of the Finance Department and is charged with the billing, collection, reporting and enforcement of taxes, sewer maintenance fees and special assessments.

Taxes: Taxes are billed annually in July, based on a calendar year and due quarterly. The tax bill includes four coupons, indicating the amount due and the due date for each quarter.  All quarters have a 10-day grace period with the exception of the 3rd quarter (August) which is due 25 days from the date the bills are mailed.

Sewer Maintenance:   are billed annually, based on a calendar year. The billing is for properties that are connected to Rockaway Township Sewer Lines

Sewer Assessments:  Assessments for Sewer/Water are also billed annually, according to due date which is established by an Ordinance.

"Property Tax Relief" for information regarding the State of New Jersey's Property Tax Reimbursement (Property Freeze) program or Homestead Rebate program offered to qualified homeowners.
