RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING PEANUT BUTTER
RECALL
The list of products subject to peanut
butter recall is expanding to include foods
that may contain contaminated peanut paste
produced by the PCA (Peanut Corporation of
America). Therefore, the Food & Drug
Administration (FDA) urges consumers to
visit the FDA’s website to determine if
commercially-prepared or manufactured peanut
butter/peanut paste-containing products
(such as cookies, crackers, cereal, candy
and ice cream) are subject to recall prior
to consumption.
The FDA has created a searchable list of
products and brands associated with the
expanded PCA peanut butter recall which will
be updated on a regular basis as additional
sub-recalls occur. This list is available

If you are unable to find the product on the FDA’s website you may
wish to call the toll-free number listed on
most food packaging or visit the company’s
website.

If you cannot determine whether the peanut butter, peanut
butter/peanut paste-containing products may
contain PCA peanut butter/peanut paste do
not consume those products. .

Do not eat products that have been recalled and throw them away in
a manner that prevents others from eating
them.
·
Persons who think they may have become ill from eating peanut
butter are advised to consult their health
care providers.
