ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL ALLIANCE
COMMITTEE

TAI CHI FOR KIDS PROGRAM
The Rockaway Municipal
Alliance Committee (MAC) will sponsor the
Tai Chi for Kids program beginning Monday,
March 1, 2010 at the Rockaway Township
Municipal Building.
This year the program
will be offered for grades Kindergarten
through 5th. The class will be
held on Monday with a choice of two
different times. First session will meet at
3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and the second
session will be held from 4:15 p.m. to 4:45
p.m.

please call as soon as possible.

ATTENTION ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
Any
resident who receives a Rockaway Township
Town Planner, please note the Route D
Recycling Collection Schedule must be
revised as the Township Employees are being
furloughed the second Friday of every
month. The following revisions reflect the
Fridays the offices and drop-off sites are
closed. The rescheduled recycling
collection dates are as follows:

New Resident and Community Open House
The annual Rockaway Township “New Resident
and Community Open House” will be held
Monday, October 26, 2009 from 7:30 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building located
in 65 Mt. Hope Road, Rockaway. All
residents in the community are invited to
attend.
Residents will be afforded the
opportunity to acquaint themselves with
municipal services and to meet with
department heads to answer any questions
they may have regarding the Township. The
following municipal departments will be
represented at the Open House meeting:
Administration; Clerk’s Office; Municipal
Court; Engineering Department, including
Construction, Zoning and Planning; Finance
Department, including Assessor and Tax
Collector; Fire Department; Health
Department, including Animal Control and
Recycling; Police Department; Public Works
Department, including Roads and Water
Utility; and Recreation, Parks and Senior
Services, including Open Space. Printed
materials will be available for
distribution.
