Rockaway Township has tested its water
supply well beyond that required by the
NJDEP.
The employees of the Water &
Sewer Utility have over the years shown
time and time again their commitment to
providing good, clean potable water.
Below are some facts as to what
has occurred to the Township’s water
supply and the Water & Sewer Utility has
done to assure good, clean potable
water:
- Rockaway
Township has three wells that have been
polluted with volatile organics since
1980.
- Through the
use of air-stripping, the utility
maintains excellent quality water while
providing non-detectable levels of
contaminants.
- Rockaway
Township Water & Sewer Utility is in
total compliance with all New Jersey
State drinking water regulations.
- Currently we
monitor in excess of the drinking water
regulations for bacteriological,
volatile organics, primary and secondary
