Summer Playground Program

Due to COVID-19 and the New Jersey State Governor’s Executive Order’s, Rockaway Township Recreation is delaying registration for Summer Programming until at least May 15, from May 1. This delay applies to Township Programs which use Community Pass for registration. Typically registrations go live on May 1, but because of the difficulty issuing refunds if we cannot have camp or open Mount Hope Pond, we’re delaying registration until the executive orders are lifted and these programs can be run in a safe manner.

Summer Playground program is a 9:00AM-12:00PM Summer Camp run through the Rockaway Township Division of Recreation. Campers attend one of the local schools, take trips to Mt. Hope Pond, Frog Falls, and Mini Golf!

The cost of Summer Playground Program is $55 per camper. Registration opens on May 1 each year. Registration is limited to residents of Rockaway Township. Parents are required to provide transportation for their child to and from the school each day. If you have questions, contact the Division of Recreation at 973-983-2841.
