About the Mayor

Mayor Joe Jackson is a 20-year resident of Rockaway Township living in the Birchwood section of the Township.  He and his wife Susanne have been married for almost 30 years and raised their three children in Rockaway Township where they all attended Birchwood School, Copeland Middle School, and Morris Hills High School.  Joe is currently a Senior Manager in Implementation for ADP where he has worked for the past 17 years. Mayor Joe has been actively involved in the Rockaway Township Community for the past 20 years. His community involvement includes:

• Mayor since February 2022
• Current volunteer Meals on Wheels Driver
• Former Rockaway Township Council President
• Former volunteer member of Citizens Recreation Committee
• Former Board of Education Member (head of finance committee and member of negotiations committee)
• Former President of the Rockway Rockets Football Association
• Former Board Member for Rockway Rampage Travel Softball
• Former youth sports coach (soccer, football, baseball and softball)
