We are excited to announce the Let's Walk Rockaway: Mayor's Community Walking Challenge!
Join Mayor Joe Jackson and the Rockaway Township Division of Health for the event, as we find ways to socialize while getting some exercise. Let's support one another by promoting healthy living, staying strong and finding new ways to connect. 

The Challenge is a fun way to encourage you, your family and the community to be more physically active. Each week of the event, participants will receive a newsletter with quick tips and ideas for staying active and connected. A step log will be provided track of the distance you and your teammates walk each day. For each step of walking, you will receive one point. Each week, you will find optional activities outlined in the newsletter that will give you the chance to earn additional Bonus Points, and each of these activities is worth a minimum of 100 additional Bonus Points. 

What about the prizes?

The three teams with the highest step count at the end of the challenge will win prizes
  • First Place: Apple Airpods
  • Second Place: Fitbit - Fitness Trackers
  • Third Place: Health and Wellness Filled Gym Bags

How do I sign up? 

There are two ways to participate: Individually or as part of a team. Every participant must complete the Event Registration form to participate in the Mayor's Community Walking Challenge.
       Individuals: Register individually and we will add you to a team.
       Teams: Create a group of four participants, pick a team name and leader.
